A photographic account of the bands I saw on the first day of The Great Escape 2017, a festival showcasing over 400 up and coming music artists from all over the world across 35 venues in Brighton. I was able to catch only a tiny fraction of what was going on.

Who would have believed that the Wagner Hall would be an outdoor venue? Anyway, the band Sløtface (formerly Slutface!) all the way from Norway are dry on stage but the audience were getting soaked. Many annoying people with umbrellas are behind me.
